Object:

The object of the National Guild is to promote the highest standard of living in farm houses and focus attention on the positive aspects of farm life, Through the years, many projects have been carried out to further these aims.

The National Guild places emphasis on better international understanding. A special project of furnishing hospitality to international visitors is carried on, cooperating with our State Department of Washington, D.C. Many exchange leaders and students from other countries have been entertained in homes of our members. A number of other projects along this line are promoted through the State Guilds, such as providing scholarships for students in other countries. The Guild believes that mutual understanding contributes greatly toward world peace.

Meetings: Annual meetings are held in organized states on a rotation basis.

Goals:

Place a greater focus on the family and create a greater awareness of the problems that are affecting family life today. Demonstrate the highest possible standards of living in our farm homes. Emphasize the positive aspects of farm life.
Encourage and motivate younger people to become involved with agribusiness.
Emphasize and support Family and Consumer Education and Research nationwide.
Continue to participate in and promote International Visitor programs.
Create a better understanding of Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) and the importance of increased contributions to Pennies for Friendship.
Create awareness and support, through education and publicity, of the ACWW projects and trusts (Scholarships); including Water for All, Women Feed the World, ACWW Nutrition Education Fund; Lady Aberdeen Scholarship, and Elise Zimmer Memorial Fund (scholarship, and promotion of biotechnology.
Promote the Ruth B. Sayre Scholarship Fund and encourage contributions.
Encourage and assist women to actively participate in community and agricultural organizations.
Create an awareness and actively pursue the establishment of Master Farm Homemaker Guilds in the states where there is a Master Farm Homemaker Guild
Encourage women to use and promote all farm products.
1. Be aware of and talk about their nutritional and economical value.
2. Be more aware of adverse/false statements made about farm products and make every attempt to correct them.
